Aaron Larimer breathes and sleeps escape rooms — literally. Not only is he the operations manager at Escape Chambers Des Moines, he lives in the apartment right above it.
Larimer became an escape games enthusiast in college when they were nothing but small flash puzzle games in which you, the main character, are stuck inside a room with one locked door. The way out? Finding clues and solving a series of puzzles to find the key that unlocks the door.
These real-life escape rooms first became popular in Hong Kong and Japan and have slowly made their way to the Midwest.
