Big business donations have dried up, leaving them, like many inner-city gyms, to rely on small donors and fundraisers to keep up.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cWe\u2019ve been broke, we\u2019ve been up, we\u2019ve been down, we\u2019ve been beat, we\u2019ve been back, but we\u2019re still here,\u201d he says. \u201cThat\u2019s all that matters\u2014we\u2019re still here. I don\u2019t know how many years I\u2019ve got left, but I\u2019ll be here \u2018til somebody has to tote me up those steps.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
