on stage, it\u2019s clear that they are able to command a crowd as well as their predecessors and inspirations.<\/span><\/p>\n\u201cWe\u2019ve had a surprisingly large opportunity, and I think that has to do a lot with the other musicians in Des Moines,\u201d Bequeaith said. \u201cThe people who we\u2019re playing with tonight have just opened doors for us that would be harder for us to get into.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nLewin echoed these sentiments. \u201cPeople are going out of their way to ask us to play with them,\u201d she said. \u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018Oh, we\u2019re teens, you want us to play?\u2019 It\u2019s so cool.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\nIt\u2019s not every day that a pair of high schoolers are able to simply have some fun and create a record as original as theirs. And though they\u2019re producing something great, something that\u2019s on the cusp of seriously memorable for the duo, it\u2019s really just about the music. Nothing is more important than creating something that brings them joy, and with <\/span>Make Ya Mother Proud<\/span><\/i>, that\u2019s exactly what they did. <\/span><\/p>\n\u201cYou know, we\u2019re making our mothers proud,\u201d Lewin said, laughing. <\/span><\/p>\nBequeaith agrees. \u201cAnd we\u2019re making ourselves proud.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
