Queer Midwest Music Artists

Here in the Midwest, each state has its own charm. In this podcast series, we sat down with members of the Urban Plains team to showcase the uniqueness of each Midwest state. We have conversations about defining the land, music festivals, and queer music artists, all right here in the Midwest.

Ever heard of Chappell Roan or Dreamer Isioma? UP staff members Julia, Paige, and JD discuss queer musicians who originated in the Midwest.

I am ecstatic to serve as the Marketing Director at Urban Plains. I have had the opportunity to work with numerous organizations and businesses on their marketing teams. My passion for community engagement began when I started a non-profit in Nashville at the age of 13. Since then, I have collaborated closely with non-profit organizations across the United States. I am particularly enthusiastic about the role of social media in marketing. I create content through my blog on my website, YouTube, and TikTok. A fun fact about me is that I play piano and guitar and write my own music, which I share on several of my social media platforms. I look forward to continuing my professional development alongside other talented individuals at Urban Plains!
